My daughter's room will be painted with lime green and light beige w/some white. We want to paint wide stripes using the green and beige or green and white. Would you do this pattern on all the walls or just 2? or 3? and leave at least 1 wall solid. What is normally done when using a pattern?Advice in color scheme for girl's bedroom?
My daughters room is bright orange, fuschia and yellow. We did one wall solid orange, and painted stripes on the other three (diagonal ceiling to floor) yellow walls with pink and orange stripes. (wide orange stripe and narrow pink stripe) It looks amazing.
Lavender and or purple would be good colors to match the green also.
Her accents are black and white checkered curtains and switch and outlet covers (contact paper). They really set it off.
Try picturing it in your head or drawing it up ahead of time. Also when you paint your stripes, if taping off, paint the first coat with the base(wall) color, that way the next color wont bleed through.Advice in color scheme for girl's bedroom?
You could do it on one wall and have that be the wall her bed is on. You could do it on three walls, and have a solid color wall for her bed (the ';accent'; wall should be for the bed since the bed is the focal point in a bedroom). It is really just a matter of preference and if you can deal with taping and painting stripes.
just ask her what she likes or pait the whole room with the same design if you leave one wall black it will look kinda funny
leave the wall by her headboard solid, and stripe the rest. If you get the blue painter's tape, you can determine the size of the stripes and where to place them. Also that's going to save you some money.

How many walls are solid? If these are horizontal stripes, I'd do 2 adjoining walls. If they are vertical, I'd do it on one solid wall,
or the wall where the head board is going. Make sure you center them evenly, or do deliberately random widths.
try some purple circles=polka-dots!!!
orange...not to light um mix it with green and thatll make it a summer hangout look
