I am making a birthday party for an 11 year old girl, I need advice...?

I need themes, or anything, any fun games to do at a party, invitations, food, etc, she is NOT a girly girl. She is not a tomboy either, like in between. I need help, her birthday is in January.I am making a birthday party for an 11 year old girl, I need advice...?
Depending on where you live (or rather, if it is cold enough where you live)...

- Skating (Maybe you could do outdoor skating at night, then come back to your place for pizza, and maybe a movie and a sleepover?)

- Same thing as above except for tobogganing instead of skating.

And then, there are always the classics...

- Movie theater, then a sleepover.

- At home spa (but since you have mentioned that she is not that much of a girly girl, this might not be the greatest.)

- Rock climbing (this is great, especially if she's athletic. Lots of my friends have done this)

I remember when I was younger, my mom would take us to random fun places for my birthday parties. I think when I was 10, we went to an indoor roller skating park. When I was 11, we went to a trampolining place where they taught us how to do tricks and flips on the trampolines (this was probably my most fun birthday party ever! I would definitely recommend it.)

Also, when my friend was turning 11, we went to this place where you paint your own ceramic cups, places, bowls, etc., and then they put them in the oven for you and you get to take them home. That was fun.

As for food, it kind of depends on the number of kids that there are going to be. If you're going to be feeding a crowd, like 10+ kids, then I would recommend something simple like pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc., or else it can get kind of expensive (if you go to a restaurant), or time consuming (if you're going to cook yourself).

However, if you are going to be having only a few kids, then you could splurge a little bit and take them out to a restaurant, since it won't be as expensive. I would recommend Montana's, Kelsey's, Swiss Chalet, pretty much any of those family restaurants.

Also, if you're going to have a sleepover (which I would highly recommend, 11 year old girls love them, regardless of weather or not the are girly girls), make sure you have tons of snacks. I would recommend chips, cookies, pop, pretty much whatever she wants. Don't worry about all the sugar, afterall, this only happens once a year :)

Games... hmmmm. Pinyata, musical chairs, board games.

For invitations, my mom used to always make them on the computer using some simple graphic design program. It's not that difficult at all. Just include the basic information, and put some pretty pictures.I am making a birthday party for an 11 year old girl, I need advice...?
=) This is awesome, I was a huge tomboy/mellow comfy-wear/ neutral growing up. I'm 20 %26amp; just started wearing tight jeans at 18.

Lets see here:

**Theme---No theme, she's 11 but 11 is the new 13 today. Theme's are embarrassing. Just go with matching colors, like blue's, or green's. I like orange but that's me. Find out her favorite color, get plates, spoons, cake icing, invitations %26amp; napkins in that color. No characters, or animals. Just cool text or cool patterns.

**Games: Just get a bunch of dvd's, ask her to make a list what movies she likes.

-Jello slurpers, take little plates, put a few jello cubes on each, then have a race who can slurp up the jello the fastest get's a bag of candy. Do 2 girls at a time to race against each other.

(NEEDS: Like 12 bags of hershy kisses, and about 30 jello cups, cut into cubes)

***Food: Pizza!!! Kick this old school, everyone loves pizza!

Order depending on the number of people. A few bags of Chips %26amp; dip, Pepsi %26amp; Sprite, %26amp; Chocolate chip cookies.

Have fun =)
how about they just make sundaes with like ice cream, candy, sprinkles, syrup, cherries, whipped cream, nuts, bananas, different flavored ice cream, fudge, oreos, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, graham crackers, peanut butter, you know everything in your pantry that contains sugar.... well except for real sugar duh

and then they just make them and eat them and its so delicious but then they'll be jumping off the walls but then they could watch that one movie hairspray and dance the sugar off.

but you might want to get a permission slip for them because in the movie michelle pfieffer says ';i screwed the judges'; so i don't know if that's appropriate for eleven year olds.
Let her make the invitations. Pizza is always a good food idea. Sleepovers are always good party ideas, or the movies. Rent some new DVDs for the girls to watch. Get out some speakers to play music. Girls can usually make their own plans once the party starts. Examples: Truth or Dare, Makeovers, talking, etc. Man hunt is always fun to play once it gets dark outside. Make sure there are enough girls to have even teams...

Maybe have shirts to tye-dye...

Hope I helped %26amp; good luck(:
Have a Nintendo Wii party. Allows her to enjoy bing the birthday girl, but the Wii should add lots of fun for those who enjoy a little action.
